I've done a similar type of thing before.
I used MS Excel!  If you define a cell as the previous (vertical) cell + 1,
and drag down from that cell - you've got your records.
i exported this as a .csv, and uploaded it to a physical file on the 400.
total time taken - about 3 minutes.

There may be a clever way to do it solely on the 400, but this method works
for me!
