Some folks had 100's of logical of one file and system performance went in the dumpster.... It came out in the early days of the 400 that it wasn't a "great" idea to have a ton of logicals against one file..(People were using logicals instead of sorts which just sort of piled up and never got removed) Depending on the designers, this trend may or may not continue to this day... How many logicals have you created for this "just one time report" instead of using OPNQRYF ???????
