Gary,

The port is for UPS only.....And yes, there is some limited OS support for
it in the form of system values.  You have to write the power management
code for it.  There is an example of a power management program in the V4
Backup and Recovery Guide.

The program, based on how you have set the system values, takes the actions
you define based on signals received from the UPS.  They are in the form of
CPF messages sent to a dedicated message queue.
