Well, Nina Jones supplied the PTF's, so i assume you have that. Here's an excerpt from the cover letter: Telnet will now override the TCP protocol connection retry timeout when connections are lost to the Telnet client. Telnet will recognize the connection being lost if TCP has not received an acknowledgment to the DO TIMEMARK, the next time TIMEMARK activity for that connection is checked. Telnet recommends setting TIMMRKTIMO greater than or equal to 40 seconds. The quickest dead client detection is obtained using a value of 40. If TIMMRKTIMO is set to 0, TIMEMARK detection is turned off. If TIMMRKTIMO is set less than or equal to 240 seconds, then Telnet Server, CPU and network traffic may be greater than the *NOTIMEMARK case.
