Eric, You are correct, which is why the PTF's for the Telnet Timemark Timeout are so valuable. In the past we wrote a startup program that locked a Data Area in which the full Job name was stored. If the data area was locked during startup we issued an *immed endjob against the previous job. When the lock was gone so was the previous job and we then updated and locked the *DTAARA and proceeded. We did have to allow multiple sign-ons but only to be able to get on and kill the previous job.
