Dear Chuck,

Usually if you change the parameter named type style (found in the online 
setup, Printer Setup, second setup screen of a 3487) from System to Local, the 
problem disappears. As Pat mentioned, it is usually related to font requests 
that are not supported by the Workstation Customization facility of the AS/400. 
If you allow the font support to be controlled locally, the AS/400 assumes that 
the device will take care of choosing the most appropriate font from the spool 
file font request.

I have seen this problem with older HP's... Sounds like it wants a "font" 
change which a 5219 can do, but since it's a lazer it can't really do that... 
Layers and layers of emulation cause this.  It also might be calling for a font 
that does not exsist on 400 or one that it can not replace...
