Dear Chuck, Usually if you change the parameter named type style (found in the online setup, Printer Setup, second setup screen of a 3487) from System to Local, the problem disappears. As Pat mentioned, it is usually related to font requests that are not supported by the Workstation Customization facility of the AS/400. If you allow the font support to be controlled locally, the AS/400 assumes that the device will take care of choosing the most appropriate font from the spool file font request. Sounds like it wants a "font" change which a 5219 can do, but since it's a lazer it can't really do that... Layers and layers of emulation cause this. It also might be calling for a font that does not exsist on 400 or one that it can not replace... +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
