MONMSG only monitors for Escape, Notify and Status messages. In your case CPA4067 would have been an Inquiry message. You can add an entry in the system reply list which would change the default response for CPA4076 to 'G'. However, that would affect all jobs in your system, whether you want to be or not. You might be able to use the RCVMSG command to capture the message and reply to it but I'm not sure how since I've never do it. Someone esle on the list might be able to help

Subject: MONMSG question
I have this monmsg command at the top of my CL program:
MONMSG MSGID(CPA0000 CPF0000 CPF9999)
I thought that this ment to trap messages CPA0000-CPA9999, and
CPF0000-CPF9999.
The program performs several SAVLIB's to save files. One save file was not
empty.
message CPA4067 was issued (save file already contains data(C G)). The
default reply is C.
However, the CL program just hung, waiting for a response.
Does the "Generic monitor" (use zeros to trap inclusive numbers) only work
with CPF messages?
Are there certain messages that cannot be monitored?
Thank you for your help.
