Colin-

PID is the IBM's Parnters in Developer Program. It primarily provides
documentation and additional developer info, support and training. The value
of PID is hotly debated, some swear by it, others, especially vendors who
need really good low-level docs, think it is a joke. The truth, I think, is
that its value lies somewhere between the two extremes. Minimum cost is $250
per geographical location.

The program that sits over PID is the Solution Development Program where,
once a member of PID, you can lease development AS/400 products at very
attractive rates, _if_ you qualify with an AS/400 application to be resold.

Info is available at www.developer.ibm.com.
