The E series would have been from about 1992, and then the F was from 1993. The
advanced series was the original 'black box' announced in may of 1994. This
came
with version 3, rpg iv, client access (vs p/c support) triggers, db2/400, visual
rpg, free tcp/ip, anynet.

the original server systems were announced in 1993, so a client/server solution
would have been possible using the as/400 in early 1994.
