Ditto for Peach Tree.  It lets you do stuff that just shouldn't be 
allowed.

But, for a small business (ISV in my case) it is just not worth 50k 
for an accounting package.

Perhaps this is an un-tapped market for somebody out there who knows 
accounting (and that is NOT me!).

The publisher is Intuit, not Quicken. You would NEVER want to use
Quicken in a business environment. Even QuickBooks, which I like
very much, can let you make changes that would make an auditor
pass out. But it does have a nice audit log facility, which I've
found invaluable when I've screwed up one of those "too easy"
to make changes...just my 2 cents (wow, this list has surely
covered a lot of territory in the last week!). Carl
