I accidentally deleted a whole paragraph in my last post about the Farmers/JDE
example. (Out of context, you probably wondered where the heck THAT came from)
I
can't believe that either champion of capitalism concerns themselves too much
with
making the 20% lowest common denominator more productive via a GUI at the cost
of the
80% that know how to tie shoe laces.

The Quicken/PeachTree products are good and forgiving for a SOHO environment.
Right
tool for the right job.

Now, when you have a room full of people performing nothing but payables entry,
and
for those that -always- try to satisfy the user, if a user asks "Can I erase my
mistakes and reenter them? I just hate to have the vendor see the adjustments."
 Just
say NO! They had three chances to review their entry before committing to post
and
if that's not enough, cull the herd <G>

Well as you can see, after I read the last few posts, the Darwin devil on my
shoulder
popped up ;-)

Bottom line is: Posted is posted. Adjust all you want. Audits available upon
request.

Now THAT makes a banker happy!

P.S. Did any of you every do, or were asked to do, an 8080 listing to show
whatever?
But, hey, it came from a computer so it must be right!
