You -can- read a savf file from an RPG program... once you've got the save file created, you can read it and copy it to another file of the same length (528 recl?), which you can CPYTOPCD. At the other end, CPYFROMPCD (FRM?) then use a 2nd program to read the file and write to a Save File. We use this trick to copy save files between AS/400s.
