Bob & AL & Neil,
Just a few feet away from Al Barsia is Jim Slone, and in the User tools Jim
has (Al Maybe you can get a deal on it???) two useful tools, and (sorry to
say this) are API free, and will work from earlier version of the tools in
later versions of OS/400 if you have earlier versions of these tools.

CPYFRMSAVF <- Copies from a save file, to a file of (coincidentally!!) 528
in width.
CPTTOSAVF <-- Copies to a save file.

The neat side of this, is code can be transported using the file created
from this using the following media...
DDM File across systems <- Laying waste to SNADS for object distribution...
Any PC Media <-- Laying waste to 1/2". 1/4" etc systems with nothing in
common with other systems with 8" drives....

Imagine transporting all program updates on a CD-ROM that was FTP'd From an
AS/400, then FTP'd back up to the AS/400. (FYI Best results uses the binary
transfer method...)

If I am telling you guys anything you already knew, please forgive....
-Andrew Borts
