this is not a difficult example.

Should you use a file conversion/migration method which utilized the  OS/400
 windowing technique  then  dates  from 00 through 9  would be assigned to
20xx.

And  all these ( geriatric dummies as you call them)  would have 100 years
added to their lives.  STUPID but not much better then doing nothing, which
is popular. 

Step off your Bus for a minute,  before you drive of the cliff and think it
out !
