Hi Jim,

This problem (server names) has been discussed before (please check the
archives of the mailing list).
An APAR has also been opened for the problem (SE08488). You should contact
IBM support through normal channels to obtain additional information
regarding additional APAR info.

thanks,

Darren,

Thanks for your response. I have SP 4 installed, and will see if I can
back track. I have not had much luck uninstalling a service pack.

All,

Does anyone else have problems with the Comm Daemon? It won't stop when
asked, and if I make a change to a server (I want my server to be called
"JIM" and not "OS400A") that name change is not saved for the next time
the Daemon is started. Also, I don't seem to be able to make 2 servers to
the same IP address with different names. I know I could (can?) start
multiple STRCODE servers, all with their own names, one to load source and
compile through, and one to debug through.

Jim
