My guess would be that RPG is under IBM control and therefore not
extensible by us.  CL, however, is extensible, meaning we can do our own
commands.  Homegrown commands are promptable, so CODE has to go to the
AS/400 and get it on the fly.  The RPG stuff could be hard coded
so-to-speak within the code editor.
