I have had this experience: Code designer moves a field (on it's own - I
don't want it to move) to another record but visually code designer is
showing the field in the original record.  I figure out something is wrong
by removing the the SPACE keyword Code Designer put in there and then the
records are on top of each other.  I don't know what caused this other than
editing the file in Code Designer.  To fix it I edit the source then use
RLU.

I hope with all "new" users that the product is going to improve.  We're
sure giving a lot of feedback and the IBM'ers who post to this list have
been great.
