Hi Mike - great answers!

 >  Would you normally see a log file or  just a list of files that may
have been updated?

Since I no longer have V3R3M3 installed I can't check it but I recall that
there was a log somewhere of the files that were added/replaced/deleted -
maybe it was some other product. As to a reinstall - well as long as we
don't have to do it all the time. By the time we get to (say) SP4 it would
be a major pain to have to reinstall and then apply all the SPs. The old
version let you just uninstall an SP if it wasn't working.

 >> BTW, I notice that all I have is the quick start stuff too.

Bummer huh! It's OK for Code/400 'cos I rarely use the books, but for all
the new stuff ........

 >> Mike:      it's an "exe" file won't people just download the executable
and run it??

Which of course is what I did. I don't think I would have even looked for
anything else but I was still hunting for the SP tool and expected the
README to tell me where it had gone or why it was no longer there. No
biggie.

 >> I always do a GREAT job -- that's what I tell my manager anyway :-)

I'd agree with those sentiments (the bit about the great job that is <g>)

Thanks for your help - look forward to hearing about the manuals.
