John, Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the deal
REALXpress/e-portalXpress had with IBM has fallen apart. We almost ordered
it in August, but they suggested waiting for WDT/400 in October. By then it
was no longer possible to buy it.

Agreed - I use it all the time at customer locations and many of them order
it. You shouldn't be having this much trouble obtaining a copy. IBM
supposedly made it possible to order Code/400 without a serial number for
the V3R3M3 version. I see no reason why it shouldn't work on the new
WDT/400 package which has replaced it.

The people to order from are www.e-portalXpress.com. I believe that you
can't just do it from their web site (Which requires an AS/400 serial
number <grin>) but if you call their 800 number they can process the order.

There used to be a link to them on IBM's web site, but I don't see it any
more. I am copying the IBMers responsible for making sure that this whole
thing works - we shouldn't be going through all this horse hockey again.
IBM Direct are also supposed to know about this and to redirect customers
if they can't fulfill the order.

That IBM makes a profit in spite of its inability to sell things is a
constant source of amazement to me!
