You might check the archives of midrange dot com MIDRANGE-L for "Counting 
Users" thread recent - August 2001, possibly going back to July 2001 but no 
earlier.

DSPOBJ *DEVD *BASIC *OUTFILE gets at the work station addresses various 
people used & I am seeing variations in patterns of what happens with date 
last used based on whether the PC is connected via twinax emulation or client 
access LAN local or remote.  For example, I currently have a strong suspicion 
that the act of varying on a remote site, even if no users actually sign on, 
causes *DEVD to be updated as used on that day.
