Thanks for the response. Yes, the home directory was fine, but that was the right direction -- it was several subfolders of /www  3+ levels down that were causing that problem.

This is a v7r3 IWS issue.  I have an IWS RESTful application called LAB_REPAIR.

A 4th LAB_REPAIR job, with user VISTAPROD, fails to start and goes to JOBLOG PENDING status.  The job log shows


QSYS/CALL PGM(QSYS/QLWISVR) PARM('LAB_REPAIR' '')
UNABLE TO CHANGE WORKING DIRECTORY.
Failed to start the integrated Web application server. Reason 7.
Job ended. Cancel message received at command processor.

Sensitivity: Internal
