Actually, yes, I understand YAJl, json, and xml.  Not an expert, but I've written a few applications.  As you say, there is nothing particularly complex.  But what does happen is often times is more than a little confusing.  It's not the complexity; it's the confusion.

As to the ILE ...  in my opinion, IWS offers an on-ramp to ILE features that is adaptable to each individuals needs.

In the end, all I am saying is that IWS is an alternative that a shop suddenly confronted with a .json world might find IWS useful.
