It occurs to me that I am probably missing a step and needlessly complicating my life.  Hence the question.

I have a learning application where I list the US Presidents, with a five related stats about them.  I made a data structure for these 6 fields, and then an array dim(50), with each president data structure being an element of the array.  Works well. Very pleased.  I've expanded that application and am excited about the results.

Then today I started another project where the number of used elements of the array will bounce around from 600 to 6000 elements, but generally in the under 1,000 range.  Do I really want dim(6000)?  Is there a better way?

JSON allows an object of objects, but does IWS?
