You probably don't have the YAJL library in your library list, or the YAJL
service programs in the library that your CGI program is in.

The HTTP server should have job logs that have more detail for an error
like this. They will either be in the job log of active web jobs under
user profile QTMHHTP1, or if the job crashed, in a spooled file under user
profile QTMHHTTP.

The error log message says:

[Wed Oct 03 20:34:40.265928 2018] [cgi:error] [pid 17251:tid 00000198]
[client 10.80.177.35:59384] AH01215: CGI PROGRAM
/QSYS.LIB/DVABRMD.LIB/STWEBSRVCR.PGM RETURNED EXCEPTION ID MCH3401:

----------------------------------------

Which suggests to me that I have a library list issue? A path problem?
Or I do not understand Scott's instructions?

// To compile:
//> CRTSQLRPGI STWEBSRVCR SRCFILE(QNLABS) DBGVIEW(*SOURCE) -
//> OBJTYPE(*MODULE)
//> CRTPGM STWEBSRVCR BNDSRVPGM(QHTTPSVR/QZHBCGI)
ACTGRP(QNWEBSRV01)

-------------------------------------------------------

When I run the web service RPG program in DEBUG, from a green screen,
charVar and bicCharVar are each populated correctly.

Now, if you still have problems, please refresh us on what the problem
is,
if it isn't the same as the title of the message.
