I upload the json file from my PC to the IFS using Filezilla. Firefox works, IE doesn't, and the data looks correct with WRKLNK 5.

My conclusion is that I have a codepage problem, so I hardwired the code and it yields codepage 37 only, according to WRKLNK 8 .

Here is the code. What am I missing?

// Make sure we don't have an old file that might be in the way
unlink('/www/Thor/htdocs/USPRESP.json');
// Create a new file, and assign it a code page:
wFD = open('/www/Thor/htdocs/USPRESP.json': 10: 420: 1208);

The problem is on the IFS that you may write a UTF-8 file on your PC that
has no CCSid
and then dump it in the IFS.

The CCSid then becomes CCSid 1252 even though it actually is CCSid 1208
this may cause
AJAX and DOM to go down.
