As I need to find out anyway (for myself) I will take a look next week and see what the physical manifestation of each child process is.

Thanks for the reference, Kevin. I followed the link in addition to others regarding Node child processes. I see the appeal of an interface where child processes can send data to and trigger events in parent processes.

Now I'm curious about resources used by Node processes. Since I don't have access to a Node environment yet, and if not inconvenient, what are the number of threads and temporary storage used by parent and child processes?
WRKJOB option 3 (Display Job Run Attributes).

I launch a number of RPG based servers which send and receive data queue entries where the thread count per JOB is 1 and Temporary Storage Used is 4 Megabytes.
