I used "fork" and it did the trick for my data queue listener.
Thanks for the reference, Kevin. I followed the link in addition to others
regarding Node child processes. I see the appeal of an interface where
child processes can send data to and trigger events in parent processes.
Now I'm curious about resources used by Node processes. Since I don't have
access to a Node environment yet, and if not inconvenient, what are the
number of threads and temporary storage used by parent and child processes?

I launch a number of RPG based servers which send and receive data queue
entries where the thread count per JOB is 1 and Temporary Storage Used is 4
Megabytes.
