SSL Certificate installation problem

Hi guys

I have a production server where I need to install a new SSL certificate.

I did it 3 years ago but I cant remember how to do it.

My problem is also that we have shifted from Geo Trust to Global Sign.

when I try to import the new certificate into *SYSTEM I just get a message
saying "An error occurred during certificate validation. The issuer of the
certificate may not be in the certificate store or the issuer may not be
enabled."

Has anybody experince in handling certificates?
