It may be that you are trying to start the server on a port that is already
active on
another service

When you change the port, are you still trying to access it via the
internet for via the local network? If the former, is your router
redirecting traffic on the new port to the correct IBMi server?

When you refer to "Stopping" it sounds like you are referring to the
status in the web-based admin tool. What is the real situation with the
jobs in the QHTTPSVR subsystem? Are there any at MSGW? What do the job
logs indicate?

Subject: [WEB400] V5R4 Apache/2.0.58 server

I have an HTTP server that I know starts, can be reached from the Internet
at Port 80, and ends normally.
When I change the Port and make no other changes, two things happen:
- It gives "The connection has timed out" and never connects
- When I try to stop the server it tells me"Stopping" and after two days
it is still "Stopping."

Any ideas what is happening?
