Paul,

Interesting. Is this a client-side tool that is independent of the IBM i? Would I be able to generate the application and have it make AJAX calls back to a server-side RPG program for JSON?

Michael,

As far as your question and this topic on web enabling IBM i, <vendor> I
would like to offer up for consideration, a free tool named WOW CE.

programmers and allows them to create state of the art web applications
quickly without having learn Javascript, json/xml, ajax, PHP/Java, or
HTML. We have been able to take RPG/SQL programmers with no training and
have them developing web based applications with Excel download, Ajax
hover panels, sort-able columns, summary to detail drill downs, and
dynamic prompted selection in less than 35 minutes.

One of our goals is to help modernize IBM i interfaces and prove that
the IBM i can continue to be at the core of IT. We have seen shops
continuing to move off the AS400 because of their perception of a legacy
green screen outdated server. We need to change that with modern
interfaces while still utilizing the rock solid database of the IBM i.
