I guess that's true of some parts of HTML5 (IndexDB, maybe even Websockets) -- but other parts are already in widespread use.



It's eminently hackable (all the code is visible by view source from your
browser) and is not yet supported by all browsers.


Everyone has been able to view HTML source, _always_, since the Web was first invented in 1990. That's not an aspect of HTML5! And surely you believe that the World Wide Web is ready for prime time?!
