Re: existing cgi site, smartphone access

The issue with the highlighted dates appearing only after posting an absence
record seems to be how the application flows, but I agree that it would be
better to indicate absence dates up front. Neither app worked for me in IE.
Both worked in Safari & Chrome. There wasn't much difference between each
version. UI and flow seem to be essentially the same; minor differences.

Date picker is not usable from Blackberry Storm. From Firefox I notice
that when you first load the date picker it doesn't highlight the dates
with the purple border for dates that already have an absence. It does on
the second time you pull it up though. Have you thought about using
modals instead of alert boxes?
