It has one too many layers for me.

Layer 1: Java
Layer 2: PCML
Layer 3: Websphere App Server or IWS
Layer 4: RPG wrapper

Layer 4 is only if your parm list isn't supported by PCML (can't be
more than 7 parms, doesn't support date and timestamp data types,
doesn't support the return parm for sub procs).

If IBM would give us more meta-data bound into program objects then we
could eliminate layers 2 and 4 and run our own layer 3 (i.e. Tomcat or
IceBreakRestServer) - now *that* would be a more solid solution.

BTW, IceBreakRestServer is a cool little open source HTTP server that
you can run on any machine (including IBM i). About as light weight
as you can get for an HTTP server. Thanks to Niels Liisberg for
putting it together.
