You should be able to go forward. The members in QATMHINSTC are only the parameters for starting the server - they include things like where the config files are, /www by default, but it'll give you the real path, in case you put the config and logs and htdocs elsewhere.

Once you know where your config file is, you can edit it directly - the QATMHINSTC has very little to do with things about how contexts are set up, whether CGI is used, etc. If you're told to make a change, do it in the config file.

You now say the problem is that your profile is disabled - that isn't what you said - you said the 2001 port didn't work. Different problem, eh?

Is there any reason you are not supposed to be on this machine in a 5250 session? With enough authority to use the Admin server? Looks like it's time to look into a free online timeshare box!

Thanks all, I don't actually use CGIDEV.
I'm just trying to keep myself up to date for personal reasons. Thought I'd have a look as I'd not done anything for a while. I'm not having a problem getting to the tasks page, it's just that it would seem that my profile has no longer access. Figured that out when I tried a few times to enter a profile and password, then couldn't get into a 5250 session as my profile was deactivated! As it's a personal issue, I cannot ask admin to let me connect.
But WRKMBRPDM QUSRSYS/QATMHINSTC and I remember all those names that used to show up on port 2001. Hopefully, I can continue without the administration page.

As to seeing the servers, WRKLNK '/www/*' and there they are.
Now there also have to be the members in the file in
QUSRSYS/QATMHINSTC, but /www gives you a start.

I run the 2001 port on 6.1 and something still comes up. As
mentioned elsewhere, there's an option there for the previous
interface.

I believe the change is documented - IBM always do - here is
a bit from the 6.1 Memo to Users -

Note: The i5/OS Tasks page, which used to be shown when you
entered the following URL:
http://{system}:2001 now must be accessed from the IBM
Systems Director Navigator for i5/OS Welcome page. Click the
i5/OS Tasks Page link at the bottom of the Welcome page to
view the tasks from the i5/OS Tasks page.

Admittedly, it IS tucked away in the topic, "Web enablement
of System i Access"!!

Hi,

The address for working with http servers at
http://myi:2001/ has changed since moving to V6R1, and it
seems it has been made impossible for me to connect with my
profile and therefore experiment with CGIDEV2.
However, I can still run STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP)
HTTPSVR(*ADMIN) on the i. Now, I can't see the list of
servers I want to start. Surely there is a way to list them
on the green screen and then run STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP)
HTTPSVR(myserver)?
Thanks.
