I looked through the PDF file stored at the link below. I saw the checklist comparing the open source version of EGL to the licensed version of EGL.
Does the open source version of EGL have limitations on the IBMi that would make me want to purchase the licensed version of EGL?
For example, the open source version can't compile EGL to COBOL. That doesn't seem to be a big deal to me, since we have the traditional COBOL compiler and can develop COBOL programs the old-fashioned way. But maybe I'm missing something.
And maybe other limitations of the open source version on the IBMi would be powerful incentives to purchase the licensed version. (Maybe not...I'm just asking.)
