Seems simple...I want a count of the number of rows in a table, put that
count into a variable, and then display that variable. Anyone have a
snippet? Thanks...

I saw a suggestion of SQL select count(*) from file; as one option for
you.

If you're looking for the count of all records, no restrictions, you can
probably also use RTVMBRD with NBRCURRCD
http://files.zend.com/help/Zend-Core-i5/i5_php_connector_api.htm#CL_Calls

Or possibly i5_info

http://www.easycom-aura.com/Data/WebHelp/PHP/api_functions/columns___parameters_information/i5_info.htm

I don't think I've specifically tested either one, since any count I wanted
was based on a WHERE clause in a query rather than the complete file.
