The server is Web sphere 6.0 the JVM is 1.4 thus I would assume 32 bit.
It is a heap size limit then???


I honestly don't know. And I'm afraid of steering you in the wrong direction. Maybe a WAS configuration setting? Grasping at straws.

I just read that the heap is limited to 4 GB in the 32 bit JVM, which actually seems bigger than you need:
