How can that work?
I'm guessing you meant one way or the other not both at once.
I was in the same boat. I couldn't understand it either, conceptually.
But then our Business Development Director came up with the following
static prototype:
http://www.radile.com/rdweb/temp/scores.html
You must try both vertical and horizontal scrolling to see the effect.
Then it makes sense.
Of course, it's just a prototype at this point. But it seems like a design
pattern that could be used for several types of applications. There has
been a lot of discussion recently about various interfaces between IBM i
data and Excel spreadsheets. Maybe another option would be to just offer a
spreadsheet-like experience in a Web application. Drop Excel from the mix.
Any thoughts?
