I still believe this to be an assumption in the launching script that doesn't hold on the i, like "uname -a" returning something to choose JVM arguments from and the default is wrong, so the JVM fails.

Bah.

But if JRuby can install and launch Glassfish in a suffienly normal way to be able to install applications that would be nice :)
