Hello,

This is a reply to the post below from a little while ago. I like to inform
the WebFacing users that WebFacing component of the HATS 7.5 product now
supports Firefox in addition to Internet Explorer(IE):

Good morning, Jan. Web Facing is a misnomer. It's really IE Facing.
However,
IBM i Access for Web does work with web browsers. Would that meet your
client's needs?

I collected this information from a previous evaluation:

*Try out Access for Web for yourself!*
http://iseriesd.dfw.ibm.com/webaccess/iWAHome (case sensitive)

This shows the basic look of Access for Web as
we ship it. You can try various functions --
including working with printer output, creating
database requests, etc. Click on the 5250 tab,
sign onto System i, then start an RPG
application called BOATS and run it.

*User ID = WUSER
Password = DEMO2PWD *

This is an example of how a customer might
design a web page for their use. You will see
that an end user could start the same BOATS
application by clicking on the 5250 session --or
they could have used HATS to run the
application. You will also see other links that
would let a user work with spoolfile information,
work with IFS, run database requests, etc..

*User ID = BOATADMIN
Password = DEMO2PWD *

Has anyone run Webfacing projects in other browsers that are NOT
Internet
Explorer? I know IBM doesn't support that.

My client wants to be able to run the project on a Mac, and I also tried
it in Firefox. I disabled the browser checking and the application
starts, but no function keys work. The menu shows up, but no links work
and there is no input field. The application screen looks great (I only
got there because I skipped the menu!) and my pop-up calendars work, but
the buttons and function keys are useless and no scrollbar showed up.

Does anyone have any ideas?
