When I said multi-platform I meant, multi-platform and OS, like 360, 370, z/OS, MVS, VM, VSE, Wang, DEC, Dec-Vax, PRIME, OS/2. etc., as I have. I started on a S/38 in 1982 but have been on many different platforms and environments before and since so I have an idea of how the rest of the IT world thinks in addition to the i5 world.
On investing time, money, effort to make a choice... Normally, I would agree with and do what you recommend, but I don't have that luxury in this case.
Thanks,
Dave

You must not be from a multi-platform background. Also, see same answer
I gave Joe.

I started on the System/38 in 1981. Since then I've put a lot of time,
thought, effort and money (my own) in to deciding which way to go. It seems
like you have had enough advice so in my opinion you should do likewise :-)
Kind Regards

But you'll use REXX? Interesting. I'm relatively confident there are
more RPG programmers than REXX programmers out there.
For once I 100% agree with you Joe (REXX ??)

Your last paragraph is one of the reason why I don't want to get involved
