Nathan, the other option you didn't mention is IEv6 may be from a developer's test machine.

But Scott... those aren't stats from "around the internet" those are
stats from w3schools.com -- a site clearly targeted at developers of web
sites, not "the average joe". Even they point out that:

" W3Schools is a website for people with an interest for web
technologies. These people are more interested in using alternative
browsers than the average user."
