I downloaded and installed the Sun JRE-JDK, and Eclipse. It's running fine under Ubuntu. The HTML/CSS/Script editor is okay, but I miss intellisense-like keyboard prompting.

Thanks for the Aptana suggestion. From the online videos it looks quite feature rich. I'm downloading it.
