I run a Drupal site and I've seen this before.
You need to check that instance's httpd.conf to see if it allows .htaccess files. There may also be something in .htaccess that the server isn't configured to allow. The HTTP server error log will show you what's wrong.

Has anyone been able to successfully install Drupal? I have successfully installed Zend's PHP and MySQL and phpMyAdmin. I created a drupal folder in www/zendcore/htdocs and have untarred the Drupal tar file to this location. I am trying to run the drupal install script. The address I use to access phpMyAdmin is
http://hostname:89/phpmyadmin/, so I would think that
http://hostname:89/drupal/ or even
http://hostname:89/drupal/install.php would work. I get "The page cannot be displayed". Do I need a specific directive in the Apache instance? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
