Maybe that's the solution... get a group of like minded individuals
together
and buy a beefy POWER 520 and each group member gets their own partition.
Could split a solid 520 four ways and have it cost about $50-60/month. We
could even get Midrange.com their own partition!

If there was a growing market for this offering then it would be a great
idea, if so someone would already be doing it!

I am sure we could find a place for you in the good ol' US if you wanted to
hop over the boarder Jon. Of course then you would have to vote for one of
our great presidential candidates :-)

The bummer is that if you are leasing a machine through the PartnerWorld
program they don't even allow you to sublet it out to others to help with
the cost. I might just have to outright buy one now that I can load
multiple partitions on it without having dedicated HD's per OS install.

Does anybody know if you have to buy the IBM i OS multiple times for each
partition in this new model?

The closest they will come is the developer discount program which

Given that this list goes world-wide I should point out that you
lucky folks who are based in the US are unique in this regard. IBM
are nowhere near as generous to the rest of us!
