The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Is there a way to tell that it's working?
Get Fiddler! (www.fiddlertool.com) It's a debugging proxy that lets you
see the HTTP traffic going back and forth on your PC. Whether you want
to see if something is compressed, cached, or just understand the
traffic in Ajax there's nothing better! It supports all browsers
(windows) but integrates most seamlessly with IE.
I ran one of my JavaScript files through WINZIP, which yeilded 64%
compression; and that
was after my own compression routine previously removed a lot of
whitespace from the
original file.
Try compressing the original file too. I'll bet the final size is nearly
the same, whitespace compresses really well! It may not actually be
worth doing your step. Fiddler will tell you the size of the actual
response so you can compare options.
