Why would you say that, Aaron? Look at the advancements in RPG vs. Java
over the past ten years. The syntax advancements in the language to support
ILE and free-format absolutely dwarf the changes made to the basic Java
language. Hell, it took Java this long just to get generics!


Language advancement is more than syntax which is where I was going with
that statement. For example, I would consider VARPG an advancement of the
RPG language. That had a combination of a lot of things including runtimes,
syntax, UI componets, etc. If you look at the big picture, RPG can't hold a
candle to Java/C#.NET concerning advancements.
