Nathan, I like that. Would you by any chance be able to send the CSS source to Banderson-at-kentwatersports-dot-com Thanks Bob IT Guy -----Original Message----- From: web400-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:web400-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Nathan Andelin Sent: Friday, January 19, 2007 11:54 AM To: Web Enabling the AS400 / iSeries Subject: [WEB400] Using HTML for Statements and Reports There was a discussion earlier this week on Midrange-L that veered off to the topic of merging System i data with HTML templates for the production of form letters, statements, and reports, stored in the IFS, which reminded me of a proof-of-concept I did last year. http://tinyurl.com/yoz9uu If you view the source for the document it becomes more clear how blocks of content flow from top to bottom, similar to the generation of a spool file, after reading a set of database files. But with the help of a Cascading Style Sheet, and the use of absolute positioning, the data can be formatted to fit on 8 and 1/2 inch paper. Just in case someone might be interested, Nathan Andelin. ________________________________________________________________________ ____________ The fish are biting.
