There are multiple 170 models with a significant diff in cpw's. I've run dynamic rpg-cgi on low end machines for up to 20 or so simultaneous users. The big difference we saw was in the app itself, especially if using sql selects within the rpg. jim franz----- Original Message ----- From: "Guillermo Andrades (CPI Software)" <andrades@xxxxxxxxx>

maybe you can read this new redpaper: (but anyway a 170 with little memory is not so good for serving dynamic pages, or only for serving very little pages) IBM Redbooks | Tips and Techniques for Using TCP/IP on i5/OS http://www.redbooks.ibm.com/Redbooks.nsf/RedbookAbstracts/redp4158.html?Open Saludos/Regards, Guillermo Andrades CPI Software http://cpiS.es On 5/31/06, trevor perry <trevorp@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:I have a customer with an installed application on a 170 running with ApacheHTTP server. Performance is considerably slower than expected and they arelimping along. I fixed the Ethernet definition to be FULL duplex and reduced the response time by 1 second, but it is still significantly slow.I am looking to find a place to start. I have control over the HTTP serverconfiguration, and not much control over the application itself. Any ideas? Thanks in advance..
