*********************************** "I use this... <input type="checkbox" name="poim" value ="yes"> Include PO's with Inventoried Materials<br> And on the back end... POIM = zhbGetVar('poim'); ... if poim = 'yes'; sql = sql + ' '; else; sql = sql + ' and orgin_of_data in (''I'',''B'',''P'')'; ...." *********************************** Thanks for responding Tim: My question however is: why I have to do that? I thought that the "checkbox" logic is very straight forward: it requires to be "checked" in order to have a TRUE value. My issue is that I do not know why is ALWAYS TRUE. I have checked on the archives but I have not found anything yet about this issue and checking on other forums as well. I am sure it might be a simple thing and I am extremely confused... :o( Peter Vidal PALL Corporation / SR Programmer Analyst, IT Development Group 10540 Ridge Rd., Ste 203, New Port Richey, FL 34654-5111 http://www.pall.com "Sincerity is the way of Heaven."
